Hi, I’m Krista and I'm the owner of Cary Grooming Co.
I’ve been dedicated to the art of grooming since 2012, building my career around a genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing thoughtful, high-quality care. At home, I’m a dog mom to my Boston Terrier, Dozer, a Pitbull, Banksy, a Dutch Shepherd, Rambo, and three cats Georgie, Mittens and Cookie!
My journey began while I was in college pursuing a degree in social work. Although I completed my degree, I had already discovered that grooming was where I truly belonged. It gave me the opportunity to connect, not just with dogs, but with their families in a way that felt personal, meaningful, and lasting.
Over the years, I gained experience in corporate salons, private shops, and veterinary settings. Each step helped shape my skills, but it wasn’t until I created my own business that I fully found my approach. This all began in my garage and soon after, that vision became Raleigh Grooming Co., a space built on quality over quantity, individualized care, and genuine relationships.
As that first salon grew and flourished, it became clear there was an opportunity to expand that same foundation into something more. Cary Grooming Co. was created as a natural extension of that success — a sister location rooted in the same values people have come to know and love, while bringing its own unique personality, team, and atmosphere to the Cary community.
Opening Cary Grooming Co. was especially important to me because I saw a need for a high-quality grooming experience in the area, one that prioritizes comfort, trust, and consistency over volume. My goal was to create a space where both pets and their owners feel confident, cared for, and truly known.
While each location has its own identity, the heart behind them remains the same: intentional grooming, a personal approach, and a deep respect for every dog that walks through the door.
This is more than a business to me, it’s something I’ve built with purpose, and something I’m incredibly proud to share with both communities.
